Gear6
Privacy Policy
Effective July 29, 2026This policy explains how Gear6 handles information from this website, our design-partner application, and related communications.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the public Gear6 website, the design-partner application, and communications that link to this policy. It does not yet govern an authenticated Gear6 product workspace. Product-specific data practices may be covered by additional notices or agreements before those services become available.
In this policy, “Gear6,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Gear6, Inc., a Delaware corporation.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
When you apply to become a design partner, we may collect:
- your name and email address;
- your company and team size;
- the collaboration tools your team uses;
- information you choose to share about your team’s coordination challenges; and
- communications you send to us.
Information collected automatically
When you use the site, we or our hosting and security providers may receive technical and usage information such as your IP address, browser and device type, referring page, timestamps, pages or sections viewed, interaction events, and diagnostic data.
Cookies and similar technologies
We may use essential cookies or similar technologies to operate, secure, and diagnose the site. Gear6 does not currently use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking technologies for targeted advertising.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- administer and evaluate the early-access program;
- respond to questions and communicate product updates;
- understand interest in Gear6 and improve the website;
- protect the site, prevent misuse, and diagnose problems;
- comply with law and enforce our agreements; and
- carry out another purpose that we disclose when information is collected or that you authorize.
4. How we disclose information
We may disclose information to:
- service providers that host the site, deliver communications, support security, or process information for us;
- professional advisers such as lawyers, auditors, and insurers;
- authorities or other parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, or prevent fraud or abuse;
- a buyer, investor, or successor in connection with a financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets; and
- other parties at your direction or with your consent.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use personal information for targeted advertising.
5. Data retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy. We generally retain application and related communication information for no longer than 24 months after your last interaction with us, unless a longer period is needed to comply with law, resolve disputes, protect the service, or honor your request. Security and diagnostic records are generally retained for no longer than 12 months.
6. Your choices and privacy rights
You may unsubscribe from marketing or early-access emails using the link in those messages or by contacting us. Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may also have the right to:
- confirm whether we process your personal information;
- access or obtain a copy of that information;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete information;
- obtain a list of the categories of third parties to which information was disclosed;
- opt out of sale, targeted advertising, or certain profiling; and
- appeal a decision regarding a privacy request.
To make a request, email piyush@gear6.io with the subject “Privacy Request.” To appeal a decision, use the subject “Privacy Appeal.” We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
7. Notice at collection for U.S. residents
At or before collection, Gear6 may collect identifiers such as name, email address and IP address; professional information such as company and team size; information about tools and product interests; and internet or electronic activity such as site interactions and diagnostic events.
We use these categories to administer the design-partner program, communicate with you, operate and secure the site, understand product interest, and comply with law. We retain them according to Section 5. We do not sell these categories or share them for cross-context behavioral advertising.
8. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers offer a Do Not Track signal. Because there is no generally accepted standard for responding to that signal, the site does not respond to it separately. Gear6 does not currently sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. Where required by law, we will treat a recognized opt-out preference signal, such as Global Privacy Control, as a request to opt out of sale or targeted advertising.
Our current site does not permit third parties to collect personal information about your activities over time and across unrelated websites for their own targeted advertising.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, and we cannot promise that unauthorized access or loss will never occur.
10. Children
The site and design-partner program are intended for business professionals and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
11. International visitors
Gear6 is based in the United States. If you access the site from another country, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. Those locations may have different data-protection laws than your home country.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site and our practices change. We will post the updated policy here, revise the effective date, and provide additional notice when required by law. Material changes apply prospectively unless otherwise permitted.
